Your sentence isn’t quite right, it should say:
‘A fat woman who wears a pink T-shirt studies in school.’
or
‘A fat woman who wears pink T-shirts studies in school.’
Or
‘A fat woman (who is) wearing a pink T-shirt is studying in school.’
or…
If you’re going to change the original tense, then of course there’s going to be many other variations.
The question was presented in the simple present, and moving it to the present progressive isn’t offering correction, it’s re-writing it entirely. The issue was subject verb agreement, not incorrect tense.
If indeed the simple present was the original intention. Many ESLers make mistakes between the choice of present simple and present progressive.
