  1. Mules are not known for their intelligence. God did not give the mule much sense. This thing doesn’t make much sense - it makes less sense than what you’d find in an average mule. (This sounds likes a Souther US thing to say.)

  2. This is a VERY fine example of what we’re talking about.

  3. No clue.

  4. This sounds like they are going to pretend to arrest him (a “staged” arrest means one that is planned) and in doing so, it will somehow make the “bad guys” in the story think something is going on that will lead to his person being more safe.

Too funny. Just seen your post because I had been looking up this phrase that I always remembered from a classic favorite of mine young guns 2. I knew instantly when I saw the phrases someone had seen it. What a classic.
