hello,
I don’t know performance of crash crew is good or not and ‘great snow depths’.
Here is the sentence: Crash crew took 3 to 4 minutes to reach the accident scene. The long response time was attributed to the crash crew’s use of access roads rather runways and taxiways and to the great snow depths on the airport.

The crew took longer than expected because of the deep snow and the use of the wrong route. (The access roads were probably deeper in snow than the runways and taxiways.)
