riding on a bike

Is it correct to say ‘I am riding on a bike or riding a bike’ ? Then also ’ I am riding a horse or I am riding on a horse’ ?

Hello Allthewayanime,

If I am not mistaken ~on a bike~ and ~ on a horse~ usually BrE.

and

~ a bike ~ and ~ a horse ~ AmE.

But, let us wait for our mentors ideas about it.

In the UK, both forms of both examples would be perfectly acceptable.
The form without ‘on’ is the most common, in my opinion.
