Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A zoo has no useful purpose. Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.

Many people believe that zoos have no useful purpose or even cruel by confining animals in small spaces. However, in my point of view, zoos are very important facilities. Because they help researchers out to better understand about animals, they protect endangered animals at the edge of extinction and they motivate their visitors to learn how important are environmental conservation.

It is easier for scientists to study animal in a zoo than animal in wild. By having animals confined, researchers could observe and monitor animal behavior, their eating habits, their mating behavior and so on closely. Moreover, scientists would be able to collect animal specimen whenever is more convenient for them.
On the other hand, it could be hard, to get all those information in a wild. Because it could be very expensive to organize expeditions in to the wild and it could require a length of time and it could be dangerous to chase animals in a wild. Besides, in a wild, usually they collect data from a pool of animal. Therefore, scientists do not have a certain control on their experiments.

A zoo is a useful place by protecting endangered animals from extinction. By keeping endangered animals, scientists could have precisely information about animal mating behavior and find out how often these animals ovulate in a year around. By observing animal mating behavior and by estimating the exactly timing of animal ovulation period, scientist can put endangered animals to breed, increasing their chance of pregnancy.
In a zoo, is easier for researchers to collect and freeze endangered animals sperms in their data bank and use it for future “in vitro” fertilization technique.
In addition, researchers would be able to re-educate animals in how to hunt in a wild and after learning how to survive by themselves, they could be reintroduced in to their natural environment.

A zoo is also an important place for visitors to learn the importance of fauna and flora conservation.
By seeing an enormous variety of animals and by knowing the way how they live and by understanding that every single living creature is part of the food chain, people would be motivated and would be more conscious in how important is environmental conservation.
Otherwise, in the future, the new generation would no longer see those magnificent and enormous variety of animal.

To sum up, for helping researchers to better understand the nature and their own peculiarities, for being a place where endangered animals could be protected and breed and for being able to teach and motivate their visitors to learn how important is to maintain the food chain in the nature, I do believe that zoos are very useful institutions for our society and specially for the mother nature.

By keeping endangered animals, scientists could have precise information about animal mating behavior and find out how often these animals ovulate in a year around. By observing animalS mating behavior and by estimating the exactly timing AN animalS ovulation period, scientist can ENCOURAGE endangered animals to breed, increasing their chance of pregnancy.

This was pathetic Spoon. What the heck are you thinking? One day you post an excellent essay, and the next day … this rubbish. It happens all the time with you! You have ignored every piece of advice I have given you over the passed weeks/months. I’ve about had it with you Spoon … either change your attitude, or I will ignore your work in future.
