Relative pronoun: a feeling that the new culture is inferior to the one to which

Hi Everybody,
What’s wrong with this sentence?
…a feeling that the new culture is inferior to the one to which they are accustomed.
Many thanks,
Morteza

Hi Morteza,

This sentence is all right. You need ‘to’ repeated because this culture is inferior to their culture and that is the culture to which they are accustomed.

Alan

…a feeling that the new culture is inferior to the one to which they are accustomed.

It sounds alright, but I’d place TO in the end of the sentence…it sounds more natural, well at least that’s how we speak here.

a feeling that the new culture is inferior to the one which they are accustomed to.
