I would like to know the correct order when using both a modal and an auxiliary in a negative sentence. for example:
Sentence 1: Rebecca may not have cooked the meat you bought.
Sentence 2: Rebecca may have not cooked the meat you bought.
In fact, I am going to teach positive sentences, close questions (positive and negative questions), negative sentences and wh-questions. I noticed that most pupils are unable to deal with the scrambled sentences so I want my pupils to be amongst the best ones. the reason why i thought of teaching this item through using the word order.
I do not want to focus on the perfect tenses neither on the continuous ones.
Please, I would mlike to know what kind pof exercises I could use so that my pupils like reading. Most of theml dislike reading. They are aged 14 and over.
For your information, I teach in junior secondary school and most pupils in our school cannot speak English. They are not concentrated and the parents are very oiften not involved into their education.
It is not easy but I am self confident. Then I really need your advice and help.
We have lots of them we are trying to create new ones on a regular basis. Please let us know what you and your students think about them. Many thanks .
