This is my last question for today.

For the year 2001, we say: Two thousand and one.

Please answer correct or not corect?

1920:

a.Nineteen twenty.
b.One thousand nine hundred and twenty.
c.One nine two o.

84623: (suppose we be in this year).

c.Eighty-four thousand six hundred and twenty-threee.
d.Eight forty-six twenty-three.
e.Eighty-four sixty-two three.

184623: (suppose we be in this year).

f.Eighteen forty-six twenty-three.
g.One eight four six two three.
h.One hundred and eighty-four thousand six hundred and twenty-three.

Is there the general rule to read the year? (all ways).

When pronouncing years:
1920:

a.Nineteen twenty. [color=blue]CORRECT
b.One thousand nine hundred and twenty. [color=red]NO
c.One nine two o. [color=red]NO

It’s not really possible to answer your other questions. As you should know if you’ve taught French, language depends on usage! We’re nowhere near the years 84623 and 184623, so obviously there hasn’t been any usage. If I had to look into a crystal ball, then my wild guesses would be:

84623 —> eighty-four six twenty-three
184623 --> one eighty-four six twenty-three
