Why do you think the following sentence from Quora’s Wikipedia entry uses the past simple instead of the present perfect progressive? ‘Quora’s user base grew quickly since 2010.’.

'‘Grew quickly from 2010’ but ‘since’ requires ‘has grown/has been growing’ in order to make sense if you want to cover that period from 2010 up till now.
