Good morning Torsten. Appears that I have had the wrong pronunciation for a long time, as I say :-

Hi, Cornuelle,

the forecast anchorman Guillermo Arduino was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is both an Argentinean and Italian citizen. Thus, according to this background, the original pronunciation should be “Argentinian Spanish”, where “ll” is pronounced like a soft J in English (better like a French j, or a voiceld corresponding sound to English “sh”), and not like GL in Italian or ll in other Spanish-speaking countries. For example, in Spanish you write “me llamo” = “my name is”, but you usually pronounce “me yamo” or more and more seldom like “me lyamo”. People in Argentina and Uruguay too, pronounce this sentence “me jamo” with a soft j, like in French “jambe”.

Regards,

Roberto
