Present Perfect or Past Tense?

Hello Mentors,

I am still confused about this sentence.

Which hotel was the best one you’ve ever stayed? Why?

is that correct?

or

Which hotel is the best one have ever stayed? Why?

Can you help me please.

Thank you so much…

Julius

You can use ‘was’ or ‘is’ there. Both mean the same thing in essence.

was - the best one you have stayed in in the past.
is - the best one up till now.

However, you should add ‘in’ or ‘at’ whichever tense you choose:
Which hotel was the best one you’ve ever stayed in/at?
Which hotel is the best one you’ve ever stayed in/at?

Mentor Beeesneees,

Thank you so much for helping me.
