Preparation for GRE

As I am going to study at US university as the undergraduate student, will there be any opportunities to take courses of GRE preaparation during the education at the university? And is it really a difficult test to take? I mean is it more difficult than, for example, ACT?

Thank you for the attention, I hope you’ll find time to help me.

Anybody?

Im a junior at a university and I find the gre to be very close to the SAT. The verbal is almost identical with its analogies, sentence completions and reading passages. But I think you can score considerabley higher on this tes given the fact that one is more mature and developed mentally. I did not do well on my SAT but I didnt prepare much when I was in HS. This test can be learned. If you put in 2 hours everyday with a any of the test prep books, your bound to score higher. You just have to have the ability to anaylze passages and clearly think out sentence completions and have a very good vocabulary and know how to solve elementary math. You should do fine if your prepare enough. I wouldnt worry. This test easier than the GMAT. Theres no data suffiencyquestions. The math is much more difficult than the GMAT. Im going to grad school for Statsitics. Good luck

Thanks, but what if I am taking ACT instead of SAT? Is tehre any difference, if we are talking about GRE preparation level?

Really, don’t worry about the difficulty of the GRE. For some people it’s easy and for others, it’s not. It’s just a different way to think than we do for the kinds of tests we take in school. There is no point in starting your college career even REMOTELY worried about the GRE. Seriously. It is not that big a deal. You should be able to find time to prep for it as a junior or over the summer.
