Possessive 's' (Unit 6)

Hi Torsten ,
Red is possessive, and blue is abbreviation

s in red is possessive while s in blue is short from of is

Hi Torsten,

The S is red when it shows possessions, and S blue’s are the short form of “is”.

Hi Torsen.
The “s” is red when it shows possession (Possessive “s”) and it is blue when it means “is” (the short form).

Best regards.

hello
I think the red S use to possessive but the blue S (is ='s) use to present simple.

I want to ask, I have 3 phrases :

  • Lite (name)
  • Cafe
  • Staffs and Workers

Is this valid :

  • Lite’s Cafe’s Staffs and Workers

Since there are 2 ’ 's ’ in the sentence…

The 2 ''s ’ aren’t a problem but the use of ‘staffs’ is. 'Staff is uncountable and should be singular.

Blue one is short form of ‘‘he is’’ i.e. He’s …He is
Red one is possessive’s’

My fater’s dog’s puppy is hungry.

Is this acceptable?

Or:
The dog of my fater’s puppy is hungry.

Do you mean “father”?

My father’s dog’s puppy is hungry.
That is correct: the puppy born to the dog owned by my father.

Of course I mean father. I’ve made ridiculous mistakes in my sentences.

That’s not ridiculous, Csaabaa. It’s very easy to miss out a letter when typing. That sort of mistake could happen to anyone.
Don’t worry about it.

Dear Mr Tortsen
thanks a lot for your great efforts.I hope you are well.concerning red s I think abbrev. for possesive and blue s abbrev for is-thanks again and good bye.

The s red is possessive and the one blue is verb. Am I right? Thanks.
