red is for possessives and blue is the simple present of the verb to be

hello,sir
red one shows possessive case and blue one shows short form of is. thanks

The red “s” is the possessive “s” while the blue “s” is the abbreviation of the verb to be “is” in present simple tense.

Hello,

“Red” indicates the possessive form. Blue is the abbreviation.

Hi!

's in red shows possession. 's in blue shows contraction like the shortened way of saying “she is” or “he is”.

Thanks for this activity! :wink:

Dear Torsen,
I’m Kevin Nguyen. I come from VietNam. I’m an engineer. In your paragraph, I think the red “S” is a Possessive and blue “S” is sample present
best regard
Kevin

Hi Torsten,
Thankyou for the lessons!

he’s --> he is thats true but at times are there any cases that state he has

Yes, Rinkal.
For example:
He’s already been there once.

You need to look at the context to clarify whether the verb is ‘he is’ (most frequently) or ‘he has’.

Dear torsten,

the blue ones are abbreviated versions of
he is --> becomes he’s
she is --> becomes she’s

the red ones show that you have to add -'s to build genitive forms, possessives

f.e.: the boy’s father is working for the government.

I hope there’s (there is) no error involved in naufragis’ examples.

Hi Torsten, in my own notion, the “s” in red shows possession and “s” in blue points out in discription of anything or quality.

the red is up to her things

and the blue is shorten like this she is we shorten like this she"s

red colour indicates the possessive “s”

Hi Trosten,
The " s" is red when means possessive “s” and blue when means short form simple present tense verb to be

thank you so much for your help, Beeesneees
I hope that you will help me more in the future.

Dear Torstan

Thanks for your good lesson for unit 6. After reading the texts in this unit and I can find out that she’s is the abbreviated of she is which is blue in color. The s with a red color such as Sarah’s boyfriend, this s is described the expression of ownership for Sarah.

Thanks again for your help and hope to receive more lessons from you in future.
