- In the driving seat sat a man of average height.
1a. A man of average height sat in the driving seat. - Will Raman and Sita find happiness together?
2a. Will Raman and Sita find together happiness?
Please correct the above sentences.
Thanks.
Although I’m not 100 % sure, I think 1,1a and 2 are correct. I’m also eager to read what native speaker(s) will comment…
You are correct, Foreigner.
Hi, Beeesneees
Could you explain the grammar point of sentence 1 ?
If 1a is the active, the usage of 1 looks like passive voice : In the driving seat WAS sat a man of average height. [Passive] (But here, It’s not a passive structure).
Is it a revert sentence ?
Thank you
It’s just an alternative reverted word order:
A man of average height / sat / in the driving seat/
In the driving seat / sat / a man of average height.
