Phrase "Boy, is it ever hot today!"

What is a blank check called in English?

What is it termed when you momentarily lose your friend’s voice on the phone?

When you have big plans and thoughts about your future, you are a(n) … person?

What is it termed when you use the handbrake in order to make the car turn around?

What possibly could the following sentence mean? (I came across with it in a grammar book):

" Boy, is it ever hot today!"

Thanks Mister Micawber, but I’m not sure about the first question yet, cause i meant “a check with signature and no price mentioned ( on or in :?: ) it.”

Hi Rasooljafarinejad

That’s a “blank check”. You could also call it a “signed blank check”, I suppose, but adding the word “signed” is neither necessary nor usual. Look here:
