perfect infinitive: I am sorry for having disturbed you

Hi,
can somebody explain this sentence?

“i am sorry for having disturbed you”

or
can we say? “i am sorry for disturbing you”

The first indicates that the disturbance is in the past; in the second, the disturbance is happening now.
