Hello, can you explain the meaning of the phrase “on the estate” in this sentence?
“Perks of the job include the possibility of renting a small cottage on the estate”.

It means property (land).
Estate usually ( but not always ) refers to larger amounts of land owned by rich people. The estate would usually include the land, buildings, roads, etc.
