Hello I’m not a fire starter but a thread starter :), Bruce asked me which German university is the oldest. It’s the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg. It was founded in 1385. Today about 15% off all students are from abroad - most of them from Europe.
Which is the oldest university in England? Oxford I suppose? Or is it Cambridge?
According to this, Oxford university’s origin is traced back to 1096. However, the university had a bit of sandal back in 1209, and consequently, the university was disbanded. This lead to the foundation of Cambridge University. So, to answer your question, Oxford is the oldest.
Hello, thank you for your answer. Where are you from?
I’m from here(I run this forum). Other than that, I keep a low profile for the time being.
How did you start your forum and why?
I created an online education portal and launched it shortly over a year ago; not many changes have been made lately for a reason, but it will start adding new features soon. I wanted the portal to have a mechanism to get user input; I wanted to create infra-ware, kind of like Wikipedia. I find that forum is a great addition to the portal to make it like infra-ware, and I added the forum almost a year ago. This is how I started the forum.
If you have some other question, I’ll be happy to answer. Also English-Test had this interview with me a couple of months ago. You can read it if you are interested.
