Observing and studying animal is helpful

Hello, kitos.
Please correct my essay.
Thanks.

Do you agree or disagree with following statement? Observing and studying animal is helpful for people to know about themsevles.

Why we angry? Why we feel happiness? Why we live in groups? There are numerous mysteries about human being. However, it is very difficult to study about ourselves, since human behaviors are very complicated. This is because we live in a complex world and are influenced by numerous external factors. However, when the Experimental Zoology came into being, the study methods become more flexible. My reasons and examples are listed below.

First of all, human beings are advanced mammals, and of course have many similar characters with animals. So it is possible to learn knowledge about human beings by experimenting on animals, since most part of the experiments and researches can’t be made on real humans. For example, mice have similar chemical components of brain with man, so scientists use mice to simulate the reactions to the external stimuli of human brain. Experimental Zoology is of great significance to studying man’s mechanism of reaction.

Besides, observing human activities has been restrained by social rules such as privacy and the under-observers’ attitudes toward the research. However, observing animals doesn’t have those limitations. For instance, there is a research that interfere one’s privacy, may be scientists can obtain their goal by observing a group of buffalos. Observing animals will make scientific research much easier and more practicable.

Another point worth mentioning is that we are influenced by so many social factors, and that lead to a great many variables. Therefore the researches will face plenty of workload for the elimination of unrelated experiment factors. That is to say, the workload will be so heavy that it will make the research an impossible mission. Imaging you are conducting a controlled experiment, and there are thousands of uncertain variables. How many controlled group will you need? And how many data you have to analysis? Even with the help of computer, those uncertain factors will lead the experiment to a dead end. On the contrary, animals don’t have that much social interference and their thinking is much simpler. Using animal observations to replace the observations of human beings is a shortcut of human studies.

To sum up, consider the limitations of human research and the connections between human and animals, observing and studying animals are definitely helpful for human studies.
