Now neither of us has a penny VS Now neither has a penny

Hi,

How could you be so stupid? Now neither of us has a penny. Can I omit that “of us”, and so just say “Now neither has a penny”?

I think it depends on the context. With no other sentences from which to deduce the situation, I think you need the “of us” here to make it clear.

  1. How could you be so stupid?
  2. How could you be such a stupid?
Do #1 and #2 mean the same?

In my experience, stupid cannot be used as a noun, so #2 is incorrect.

Can I say : “How could you be such a stupid fellow?” ?

Yes, as long as you don’t say it to me.

  1. She’s so nice a person.
  2. She’s so nice.
  3. She’s such a nice person.
    Are they all correct?

Why are you asking this again? It was answered when you asked it here:
