Not only did she to London but she also visited many other places in England

I have found this sentence in a test.
Could you please explain me the grammar concerning this sentence?

Hi TinkerBell,
We must invert the Subject and Verb with NEGATIVES:
At NO time can she talk on the phone.
Not only dose she love him(NOT she loves him) but also she dreams of marrying him.
However,I think you left out one verb in the test:
Not only did she GO to London … .
Wishes,
Morteza

A short word: inversion. This is just 1 small kind of all called auxiliary inversion. Other: out went a man, in came a girl; here we go; coming here is the teacher; i DO will miss you; concession inversion like handsome as he is i think he’s a fool, so/such inversion like so intelligent is he that…, such a success was it that… I’m now dying of citing.

Hi, Morteza and Vietanhpham Winter!

Thank you very much!
This is just what I need!
I have always thought that the inversion doesn`t appear in English
(except “So do I”). But there are many interesting examples with the inversion.

All the best,
Olga.
