Can you think of any adjective that would mean not connected with the market?
commercialization of non-market(?) matters/fields
Perhaps out-of-market?
Or perhaps I should simply say matters/fields that are not connected with the market?

Hi Twin
Can you give us the sentence(s) that this would appear in? (More context, please. ;))
The only thing that pops into my head at the moment is:
… (that are) unrelated to the market.
the more engaged you are in the market, the more you should beware of the commercialization of fields ??? the market
I think that unrelated is just what I needed:-)
Does the sentence sound riht?
Hi Twin
What about something like this:
The more engaged you are in one market, the more you should beware of commercialization in unrelated markets.
The idea behind it is that when you are engaged in a market, you may forget about other matters e.g. family, friends, etc. You ‘commercialize’ your family, friends, your social life.
Have I punctuated commercialize correctly?
