‘No one wants to have extra homework tonight, do they?’

Why ‘do they’?

Though the verb is singular, you should use ‘they’ .This holds true for nobody, somebody and so forth.

Because of the dummy auxiliary:

‘No one (does) want to have extra homework tonight, do they?’
