Dear Sir, this is my first essay post on the forum, could you be kind enough to correct it for me?

TOPIC: do you agree or disagree:Newspapers and magazines are the best way of learning about a foreign country

If we want learn something about a foreign country, we could find information via newspapers and magazines. Though the media of such forms could tell us a lot useful, they could not give us enough information, actually, not to mention they are the best way to learn about a foreign country.

Admittedly, newspapers and magazines could tell us a lot about a foreign country. In fact, we could find the vital situation and policy on the newspaper easily, as well as the interesting things happened in the country. Both of them would give us the latest news information of the subject. However, they are the general information which has no deep connection with the knowledge of a foreign country. To learn the country deeply, we have to collect much more information through other intermediary.

To get a full understand of a country, we have to read its history. Just take Egypt for example. If we acquire the knowledge of it just from the newspaper or magazines, we could not understand it deeply, as the country has a long history which has a close relationship with the architecture while the media mentioned above have littler relationship with the old things. We cannot understand the country deeply without the awareness of this point if we indulge ourselves only in newspapers or magazines. We have to read it through professional books related to history.

Even we could know the history from the magazines or newspapers, they are not the best way to learn a country as they have several other flaws. First, they are often of short forms, as the long the news or writings are, the more money they have to pay for the print. Then we could only get some information superficially. Moreover, both the forms are limited to some aspects in our life. We cannot get the information about the high technology as it is often published on some fixed journals, such as Nature and Science.

From what have mentioned above, we could safely come to the conclusion that newspapers and magazines could give us some general information about a foreign country. When we want to know the country much deeply, we have to seek some other methods. So they are not the best way to learn a foreign country.
