Newspapers and magazines are the best way of learning about a foreign country&amp

Topic: Newspapers and magazines are the best way of learning about a foreign country?

With globalization more and more people intent to learn about foreign countries. some of them might just want to have a vacation there, others might plan to do a business. Is the most effective and best way to know foreign countries by reading news paper or magazines? I cannot agree with this statement.

In my opinion, the best way is living in a foreign county for couple of years. People can gain knowledge about foreign countries from newspaper or magazines, however, they learned it from the judgments of someone else, who could hold prejudice of them. Once I met a girl in Germany, who believed that Chinese were still living in the supply system and did not need money to buy anything according to some newspaper and magazines. She even could not imagine that there are universities in China.

But sometimes people can not afford to live in a foreign country, so they have to choose the second best way-via internet. The only thing people need to do is type the keywords in and google it. The enormous information sources like news, pictures, audios and videos etc. ensure people to have endless possibilities to extend their knowledge about foreign countries. The most difference between internet and traditional media is interaction. For example, man can express their own opinions in blogs or forums, others can refute arguments if they disagreed with each other. People can learn more in discussions without prejudice of a foreign county. If man is lucky, he might find some friends Skype each other to learn about foreign countries.

Now sum up in a few words, I disagree the claim that the best way to learn about a foreign country is by reading newspaper or magazines. We should not only focus on the traditional media in the information society.

In my opinion, the best way is living in a foreign county for A couple of years. People can gain knowledge about foreign countries from newspaper or magazines, however, they learn it ONLY from the OPINIONS of someone else who could hold prejudice TOWARD them. Once I met a girl in Germany who believed that Chinese were still living in the supply system and did not need money to buy anything according to some newspaperS and magazines. But Sometimes people (cannot) afford to live in a foreign country, so they have to choose the second best way-via THE (I)nternet. The only thing people need to do is type the keywords inTO THEIR BROWSER and Google it. The enormous information sources like news, pictures, audios and videos etc. ensure people to have endless possibilities to extend their knowledge about foreign countries. The BIGGEST difference between THE (I)nternet and traditional media is interaction. For example, PEOPLE can express their own opinions in blogs or forums, others can refute arguments if they disagree with each ANother PERSON. People can learn more in discussions without prejudice of a foreign county. If A PERSON is lucky, he might find some friends AND THEY CAN Skype each other to learn about foreign countries.(Skype should be described. Not everyone knows of its existence.)

Now,TO sum up in a few words, I disagree WITH the claim that the best way to learn about a foreign country is by reading newspaper or magazines. We should not only focus on the traditional media in the information society.
