mix and match

Hi,

“We’ve mixed and matched between having a couple of training sessions along with good relaxation.”

–Was it a kind of a complicated way to say, “We’ve combined (having) a couple of training sessions with good relaxation”? The examples on ‘mix and match’ I’ve found, were mostly dealing with garments\products…

A couple of our sessions are a good blend (mix-match) of training and relaxation.

In Britain, I would use ‘mix and match’, not ‘mix-match’.
