Meaning of the word "Buiding"

Hi,

Normally, when saying “buiding”, we refer to a large house, with many floors.

But, in the Oxford dictionary, “buiding” means a structure such as a school or house that has a roof and walls.

So, one house (no floor(s)) with walls and a corrugated iron roof is called buiding?

Thanks

Yes, a building can also be a structure with walls and a roof and a floor consisting only of dirt. A building doesn’t have to have more than one stor(e)y.
