meaning of "scramble fast"

Hi All,

Is the below sentence OK or should I leave out the word fast because scramble means to do something very fast?

I had to scramble fast to get a laptop working for him at all before his trip.

Hi,

Perhaps if you wanted to emphasise the speed at which you did it, you could simply say’very’ fast.
