Meaning of installment?

Let’s see this question in #TOEIC/ W167:

  1. n. one of several separate payments into which a debt has been divided; section; portion

(a) pair
(b) adverse opinion
© butcher
(d) ability

The given answer is (b) adverse opinion, but I really doubt whether it’s correct. In fact, does it really have a " correct answer " in this case ?

Hello Zishuli,

No. In fact, none of the options is even close to being correct. Something seems to have gone very wrong here.

The word installment would be a possible solution.

Hello Zishuli,

Please use the correct version:

english-test.net/toeic/vocab … question_3

n. one of several separate payments into which a debt has been divided; section; portion

(a) pair
(b) installment
(c) butcher
(d) ability

Many thanks

Hi Torsten,

Ok, I have just read it and I am so sorry for my negligence.

Could you kindly offer me some suggestion of “how to construct a meaningful title” for this kind of message?

How about " What’s the meaning of ‘adverse opinion’ ?" Is it ok ?

***Thousand apologies and Many thanks.

one of the part on which a debt is divided when payment is made at intervals
