Meaning of "end up" in the dialogue's phrase

Hi,
Please could you tell me what the verb “end up” can mean in the following dialogue?

  • Hey! How’s it going? What did you end up doing last weekend?
  • Well, I decided to go to a concert.
I guess that the first speaker several options to choose, for example, to go to a concert or to go to the cinema. At last, he decided to go to a concert. Am I right?

Yes, you are right. When you have several options to choose from and you make your final decision you ‘end up going with one of the options’.
