 hello everyone,

here is a sentence: the errors may be traced to a makeshift or intuitive approach.
dose the makeshift equal to less than optimum? how can I use this word?

Makeshift is much less than optimal, except in the case of emergencies. It means ‘done or made using whatever is available’.
