What’s interesting about this photo which was taken in Volgograd, Russia is that it shows a term that consists of an abbreviation in Russian and the English term ‘log-point’. Now, if you google the abbreviation, УПДГ without ‘log-point’, you don’t get the answer you were looking for. If you search УПДГ on Yandex you do. So my question is, what function does the English term ‘log-point’ have in Volgograd? Why not use a Russian term instead?

Google and Yandex are different, they use different search algorithms, and of course if you look for smth in Russian it’s better to use Yandex.
