like mine

Are these sentences correct:

[color=red]1-How would you feel if your car was stolen like mine, right in front of my eyes, with nothing I could do about it?
[color=darkblue]2-What would you do if your friend was suffering, like mine, right in front of my eyes.

Gratefully,
Navi.

I prefer these:

“How would you feel if your car was stolen like mine, right in front of your eyes, with nothing you could do about it?”

“What would you do if your friend was suffering like mine, right in front of your eyes?”

Dozy,
How about the following sentences?
“How would you feel if your car was stolen, right in front of your eyes,
with nothing you could do about it?”
“What would you do if your friend was suffering right in front of your eyes.”

These are OK except that the second is lacking a question mark (I forgot the question mark in my post above, too, but I have corrected it now!)
