  2. It’s time for new government under new leadership, which is why people supported Rahul Gandhi.

  2. 2 sentence’s sub-ordinate class is in past tense while its #3 is in present tense.

Do you say both are allowed grammatically?
3. Can we say :
3a. It’s time for a new government under new leadership, which is why people will support Rahul Gandhi.

  • They are both possible. Whichc you use depends on context and meaning. In 2. I would imagine the new leader has just been elected.
    3a is also possible.
