Is Whicheth accepted?

Hi All,

It is really cool to see sites like this. Hats off to all the brain behind it.

I generally come across situations to use the word ‘whicheth’ but go with ‘order number’ , ‘which position’ etc as english dictionaries do not list the word. Have anybody similar feelings?

Joe.

Hi Joe,

Which is the correct word. When and where do you encounter «whicheth»?[YSaerTTEW443543]

TOEIC listening, question-response: Aren’t you due for a raise?[YSaerTTEW443543]

Suppose,
If Mr X is fifth President of India is answer , What would be the question ??.

I like to use Mr X is whicheth PrimeMinister of India ? than using Which order of presidency do X hold etc…

Well,

That’s a very good point. In fact, I’m finding it difficult to think of an elegant way to ask that question.

According to the chronological order what position does President Clinton hold?
Can anyone else come up with a better example?

Thanks in advance

Ho! difficult. If, this is the case why English did’t introduce a word howmanyeth? :frowning:

Cheers,
Samrat,

Agreed - however, I think the word ‘manieth’ would do :)[YSaerTTEW443543]

We still have nd and rd for chronical numbers. What do you think about them? What number is mr. X president? would be my suggestion. The answer would probably be …number five. Just remember that we’re all responsible for making the English simpler and simpler to make it more and more international and last long.
