Is this phrase negative or neutral?

Hi,

I’d like to know if the saying of “teaching one’s grandmother to suck egges” is neutral or negative. According to wikipedia, it means: “a person is giving advice to someone else about a subject that they already know about (and probably more than the first person).” But it sounds a little bit negative to me.

It’s usually meant somewhat negatively towards the person who is giving the advice.
