Is ‘‘Are there any malfunctions in the machine’’ correct?

Beeesneees,
From whom should I order the food?
Is this question OK?
Do you consider ‘Is there any defect in the machine?’ wrong grammatically or logically?
Please explain.
Thanks.

Yes, but “is the machine malfunctioning?” is more natural.

“From whom should I order the food?” is grammatically correct, but has fallen out of use in anything but the most formal of settings.
See my to Untaught answer above - it applies to ‘any defect’ too.
