I have worked in Japan for a long time. This is my third employment tenure there.
Is “tenure” correctly used? If not, what is the correct term?
Thanks.

I don’t think the term ‘employment tenure’ is countable so ‘job’, ‘assignment’, ‘interval’ are better options here.
‘Tenure’ is more usually used to describe the length of time you hold an office such as - president, leader, councillor and so on. In your sentence I would say - That’s the third time I have been employed there.
