Is "send" the correct verb?

Another mother, named Tina Sutina, said that she uses her electric scooter to send her child to school because if she uses a bus, she needs to switch to two different buses and walk a distance after that.

  1. Is ‘send’ the correct verb?
  2. Is the comma after ‘mother’ and the other after ‘Sutina’ optional?

Thanks.

Correct as far as what is actually meant to say.

I think it should either read ‘get’ or ‘take her child to school’. As for the comma, I would keep it. Let’s see what @Nomisyar says.

Hi Anglophile,
How are you? Because of some reasons, I couldn’t be here as I used to be before (circa 2014) about 4 times a week. A lot has been changed. And, once again I’m happy to see you after a long period of time.
I hope you will check one short article written by one of my friends. The article is somewhat vague/ ambiguous to me, cause it’s all mixed up with vast words which don’t make sense at all in many places. (I kindly request you to proofread and modify to be understood by a wider audience.) Sometimes, simplicity makes the work great. Thanks.
