Is it correct to say "drawing the curtains from the center"?

Is it correct to say "drawing the curtains from the center " and do we say this to close or open the curtains on the window.

Say there are two curtains on either ends of the window do we say "draw the curtains together " to close and “spread the curtains apart on the window” to open.

please shed some light on this issue

draw the curtains = to pull curtains so that they are either together or apart

Usually, in British English at least, it isn’t necessary to add phrases such as “together” or “from the centre” to “to draw the curtains”.

The context will usually tell you whether the curtains are to be opened or closed.
