-Ing: The subject of 'losing' is 'people'?

Dear teachers,

Please read:

It will mean 500 people losing their job.

The subject of “losing” is “people”?
If I don’t want to use “losing”, I rewrite the sentence as in:

a.It will mean 500 people who will lose their jobs.

or:

b. It will mean that 500 people will lose their jobs.

Both a and b are correct?

Thanks
Q

Hi Quoc

Sentence b is definitely better:
b. It will mean that 500 people will lose their jobs.

The word that is optional in the sentence, so you can also write the same sentence this way:
It will mean 500 people will lose their jobs.
