Indirect speech question/ help needed

i need a help in these sentences (indirect speech):

'If I were you I would start looking for a new job.’
She said that if she had been me she would start looking for a new job

. ‘You watch TV too often.’
My mother remarked…i watched TV too often.

‘I have read this book already, so I can tell you something about it.’
Alice informed me…that she had read that book already, so she could tell me something about it.

‘I last talked to Peter two months ago.’
John explained…that he last talked to Peter two months earlier.

‘If I were you I would start looking for a new job.’
Cate said… that if she were me she would start looking for a new job

‘Shall I tell them you are waiting?’
She asked… whether she should tell them that I am waiting

I do not know if the transformation is correct here.

They all look fine.

Don’t take this too literally. “If I were you” is often used when giving advice. It’s basically the same thing as saying, “I think you should look for a new job.”

So if there is ‘If I were’ in a sentence, as in:

'If I were you I would start looking for a new job.’
‘If I were him I would go to the college.’

in the indirect speect the transformation would be:
‘He said that if he were me he would start looking for a new job.’
He said that if he were me he would go to the college.’?

So basically i do rewrite the rest of the sentence as it is in the original?

What about the ‘You watch TV too often.’
‘She said that i watch TV too often’ would it be also correct?

also i would like to ask something in this example:
‘Shall I tell them you are waiting?’
She asked… whether she should tell them that I am waiting
‘shall’ changes to ‘should’ with offers and suggestions, but this is an interrogative sentence, i have a question about the ‘that i am waiting’ part shouldn’t it be ‘that i was waiting’, ?

‘What are you doing?’
She asked me what I was doing.
‘be’ changes to ‘was’ here
