Topic: In spite of the advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry.
Why is this the case? What can be done about this problems?

Essay:
It is true that although a great deal of agricultural improvements have been achieved, world hunger is still a major problem nowadays. This can be attributed to a number of reasons, and there are several solutions that can be taken to tackle the issue.

To begin with, there are numerous reasons why a huge number of people still face starvation despite many significant developments obtained in farming. Firstly, poverty is believed to be the primary factor causing global famine. In fact, those living in poverty often encounter huger as they can not afford nutritious food for themselves and their families. In some underprivileged regions such as African countries, food price is usually too high for locals, most of whom only earn a meager income. Moreover, natural disaster is another main reason for global hunger. Developed as much as agriculture, it still relies considerably on weather. A long-lasting and extensive drought, for example, could easily put a whole country at risk of food shortage.

Fortunately, several actions can be taken to effectively addressed global famine. First and foremost, poverty reduction should be focused more in order to decline food insecurity rate. In fact, by boosting economic growth, nire trade and open markets could aid the flow of food, of which there is no overall shortage. A remarkable example is that Chinese government has posed various appropriate policies to address poverty, leading to the sustainable food supply for the whole country until the year 2030. Furthermore, international aid could be a potential solution for world hunger. It is true that although Japan has achieved various remarkable advances in agriculture, this nation usually receives foreign assistance when some natural catastrophes such as tsunami or earthquake trigger food shortage.

In conclusion, there are a number of reasons causing world hunger, which can be solved effectively by several actions taken by governments and authorities.
