I won't need this any more/ I won't be needing this any more

  • I won’t be needing your services any longer.
  • I won’t need your services any longer.

Is there any difference in meaning between these two sentences, if so what is the difference?

To me, the difference appears to be thus: The future progressive tends to extend itself to a longer continuous future activity (of not needing) than the future simple, which indicates only a mere possible future activity.

Thank you Anglophile, perhaps you also have an answer for my question: Since when do I, Since when did I? I would be most grateful.
