hi!
can you explain to me the meaning of the phrase “how far”
It seems to me that it’s not correct, however, I found such phrase on the web.
Example: How far are you satisfied?
hi!
can you explain to me the meaning of the phrase “how far”
It seems to me that it’s not correct, however, I found such phrase on the web.
Example: How far are you satisfied?
It is correct in the right context. It is asking about the magnitude of a distance (literal or figurative):
“How far can you jump?”
“How far is it to the nearest town?”
“I don’t know how far we can trust him.”
“How far are you satisfied?” is just about OK, I think, with “how far” meaning “to what extent”.
Thank you, Dozy. Now is absolutely clear in which cases I can use it.
