How can I explain to someone that the right answer is letter B and not letter A or letter C?

Let’s start with option A and take it one step at a time. ‘ought’ doesn’t work because it needs to be followed by the ‘to’. You don’t say “I ought help you” but “I ought to help you”. Please let me know if this makes sense so far. By the way, sorry for not answering sooner and welcome to our forum :wink: .
