Hi,
I wrote this essay challenging myself, could you please help me to find my mistakes.
Thanks a lot.
The origin of the Easter egg.
The Easter eggs are specially decorated eggs given to celebrate the Easter holiday or springtime or Resurrection Sunday. The oldest tradition is to use dyed and painted chicken eggs that are often hidden, supposedly by the Easter bunny but many would be surprised to learn where the tradition is originated.
The ancient Persians (Ethnic group found mainly in Iran) painted eggs for Nowrooz (Iranian New Year Holiday which is the first day of spring), and this tradition has continued every year since ancient times.
There are two theories about the Easter egg origin, one of them is based in a Christian practice and the other one is an anti Christ theory.
In the Christian practice the egg is widely used as a symbol of a new life just as a chick might hatch from the egg and the end of privations or lent; the custom derives from a supposed extra biblical event. After ascension of Christ, Mary Magdalene went to the Emperor of Rome and said “Christ is risen” Whereupon the Emperor pointed to an egg and stated “Christ has not risen no more than that egg is red” immediately after of this statement the egg turned blood red. Since that event the egg is seen as symbol of the blood of Christ and resurrection.
The anti-Christ theory said that the Easter egg was a sacred symbol. Nimrod who was the great-grandson of Noah and Semiramis’ husband was the one who rebelled greatly against God and responsible of perverse ceremonies. Later after Nimrod death his adulterous woman gave birth to an illegitimate son, and she claimed that her son Tammuz was Nimrod reborn as promised by God. Tammuz was worshipped, but his mother Semiramis was also worshipped and called the Goddess of moon and fertility.
The Babylonians fable says “An egg was supposed to have fallen from heaven into the Euphrates River, from this marvelous egg the Goddess Eostre( who was Semiramis or Easter which is the Germanic Eostre in English), was hatched. And so the egg came to symbolize the Goddess Easter.
Overall, despite the speculation regarding a pagan Goddess, there is a little doubt that the Western name for the festival Easter derives from the Germanic Eostre, and accordingly, Easter Egg; the modern custom is to substitute the painted hard boil eggs by Chocolate eggs, or plastic filled with confectionary or money.
The eggs are often hidden, supposedly by the Easter Bunny, for children to find on Easter morning and have a fun time with their parents.

I have underlined some problem areas, Lizzette. You need to learn to use commas and semicolons properly:
