Hungry and Hungrily

Hello everybody

My question is:

When all the time we use hungry as an adverb, when is hungrily used?

1- I slept hungry.
2- She went away hungry.

Please use hungrily in a sentence or two.

Tom

Both sentences

1- I slept hungry.
2- She went away hungry.

mean:

I slept/she went away wanting/needing to eat.

The adverb hungrily means in a hungry way, voraciously and would not normally be used with those verbs.

You can eat hungrily – or any verb related to hunger, for example. You can also look at someone hungrily, that is, showing desire for them  !
