im planning to study IELT’s by next year and your thread it a great help for a start. at least i have some warm up before taking the course.
i did encounter this issue actually and it wasn’t explain very well with my teacher. now i have a clear idea it “should” must be use into a sentence.
thanks for this…

why we could not use can?

The second part of the sentence indicates that ‘should’ is the correct choice.

Please read answer #12 on page 1 of this thread. Alan explains why ‘can’ is the wrong choice there.

Dear Torsten / Alan :

Thank you for your explanations. It is clearly…

Landy

I think learning should be interesting (because) otherwise
you wouldn’t ever be able to
succeed.

I can understand it without “because”. I would like to know when I should use “because otherwise”.

They’re interchangeable there. You could also use ‘as’ in place of ‘because’.
There’s just a slight difference in emphasis.
‘Because’ answers the question ‘why’?

Thank you.
I learnt something new.

Hello all

When I did this test, at this sentence I was thinking to use ,,must to'' but on the way of doing the test, I realized that the appropriate word for use within this sentence was ,, should''.
Let me know if I didn't spell correctly.

Many thanks for the tests and explanations
